Personal Investment Deposit

Product Overview

The Personal Investment Deposit (PID) is a fixed-term investment product offered by Prothik Agrajatra Foundation (PAF) to eligible individuals seeking a secure and reliable savings option. The product is designed to encourage long-term financial planning while providing a competitive fixed return on invested funds. The Personal Investment Deposit is available to both members and eligible non-members, subject to the Foundation’s policies, Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, and applicable regulatory approvals.

Product Features

  • Available to eligible individuals aged 18 years or above.
  • Open to both members and non-members, subject to the Foundation’s eligibility

criteria.

  • Minimum investment: BDT 50,000.
  • Minimum investment period: 1 year.
  • Investment may be renewed automatically upon maturity with the investor’s written

consent or standing instruction.

  • Annual return: 10.00% per annum, subject to approval by the Board of Trustees

and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • An official Investment Certificate or Deposit Receipt shall be issued for every

investment.

  • All deposits and repayments shall be made through approved banking or digital

payment channels.

  • A nominee may be designated at the time of account opening.

Early Withdrawal

The investor may request early withdrawal before maturity.

  • Investments withdrawn before maturity may receive a reduced annual return of

6.00%, subject to the Foundation’s approved Early Withdrawal Policy.

  • No return shall be payable if the investment remains with the Foundation for less

than 30 days, unless otherwise approved by the Board of Trustees.

Maturity Benefit

Upon completion of the investment term, the investor shall receive:

  • The full principal amount; and
  • The applicable return calculated according to the Foundation’s approved

methodology.

Nominee Facility Each investor shall nominate one or more beneficiaries at the time of opening the account. In the event of the investor’s death, the nominee or legal heir may claim the investment proceeds after completing the Foundation’s verification procedures and submitting the required supporting documents. Where permitted under the product terms, the nominee may also request continuation or renewal of the investment.

General Conditions

  • All investors must complete the required KYC and customer due diligence

procedures.

  • The Foundation reserves the right to verify the source of funds in accordance with

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) requirements.

  • Any applicable taxes or statutory deductions shall be governed by the laws of

Bangladesh in force at the time of payment.

  • The Board of Trustees may revise the minimum investment amount, return rate,

investment term, and other product features from time to time, subject to applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
