Foreign Remittance Programme
Recognizing the significant contribution of overseas Bangladeshi workers to household welfare and national economic development, Prothik Agrajatra Foundation (PAF) introduced its Foreign Remittance Programme in 2026 to facilitate safe, convenient, and efficient remittance services for migrant workers and their families. The Programme aims to improve financial inclusion by enabling beneficiaries to receive remittance payments through authorized banking and financial service channels while encouraging the use of formal financial systems. In addition to remittance payment services, PAF seeks to connect remittance recipients with savings products, financial literacy programmes, and other development-oriented financial services. As a newly established institution, PAF is committed to expanding its remittance network through strategic partnerships with licensed banks, authorized dealers, and approved Money Transfer Operators (MTOs), subject to the applicable laws and regulatory
requirements of Bangladesh.
The objectives of the Foreign Remittance Programme are to:

the Foundation’s data protection policies.
PAF shall provide remittance-related services only through partnerships with institutions that are legally authorized to process international remittances in Bangladesh. The Foundation shall not independently conduct foreign exchange transactions unless specifically licensed or otherwise authorized by the competent regulatory authority. All remittance transactions shall be subject to identity verification, record-keeping, anti- money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) requirements, and other applicable regulatory obligations.
PAF will progressively expand its Foreign Remittance Programme by increasing service coverage, strengthening partnerships with licensed financial institutions, introducing digital service options where appropriate, and enhancing financial education for remittance-receiving families. These initiatives will be implemented in line with the Foundation’s strategic plan and applicable regulatory requirements.
Note: As Prothik Agrajatra Foundation was established in 2026, programme performance statistics will be incorporated into future annual reports after commencement of operations and the availability of verified operational data.
